Caribbean Writing Retreat

February 1-5, 2027

Join Justin Collmann, author of Thirteen Fallen Horses, for a cruise and writing retreat about historical fiction.

On this retreat, Justin will help you with the foundations of writing a historical fiction novel or short story including world building, character development, and translating research into vivid prose.

Justin is also a clinical psychologist and will be addressing issues that writers commonly face like low motivation, being stuck, fear of failure and rejection, and self-doubt.

  • Daily 2 hour writing seminar

  • Open mic every evening for workshop participants to read their work aloud 

  • 2 thirty-minute, one on one sessions with Justin over the course of the cruise

  • Free time to write, rest, and enjoy the Caribbean!
